On the evening of Monday, Nov. 9, the Butler Athletic Department, in conjunction with Merrill Lynch and The Hagerman Group, hosted the Fourth Annual Butler Basketball Tip-Off Dinner on the main floor of Hinkle Fieldhouse.
With more than 300 in attendance, the sold-out dinner brought together Butler alumni, fans, donors, sponsors and business leaders in the Indianapolis community to help kick start the 2010-11 season and raise funds for Butler Athletics and the Bulldog Club.
“Monday night was a lot of fun,” said Associate Athletic Director Mike Freeman. “We had been expecting a full crowd since July thanks to an eager volunteer committee. I think everyone left Hinkle Fieldhouse wanting to come back to see the Bulldogs play ball.”
This hallmark event was highlighted by featured speaker, head Butler basketball coach Brad Stevens, along with appearances by Butler Athletic Director Barry Collier and Butler President Dr. Bobby Fong. The program was emceed by WISH-TV sports director Anthony Calhoun.
The Butler Athletic Department would like to give a special thanks to the volunteer committee and numerous table sponsors for making this another successful event.
