INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- Butler play-by-play announcer Brandon Gaudin has accepted a broadcast position at Georgia Tech.  In his new position, Gaudin will handle the Yellow Jackets’ play-by-play duties for football and men’s basketball, host weekly radio coaches’ shows for football and men’s basketball and serve as host of Georgia Tech’s television productions.

“This is an excellent opportunity for Brandon, and we wish him well,” said Butler Associate Athletic Director for External Operations Mike Freeman.  “Brandon has done an outstanding job for us, and we know that he will continue to be successful in the future.”

Gaudin, a 2006 Butler graduate, served as men’s basketball play-by-play announcer for the Bulldogs for the past three years.  He handled the call on Butler’s run to the Final Four in 2011, as well as the Bulldogs’ postseason tournament trips in 2012 and 2013.  He also served as play-by-play announcer for Butler football, for the Indiana High School football and basketball state finals and for various NCAA championships.

Prior to joining Butler’s athletic staff, Gaudin served as play-by-play announcer at the University of Evansville, where he also served as the radio station general managers of WUEV-FM.  He further had on-air talent duties at WEHT, the local ABC affiliate in Evansville.

A search for Gaudin’s replacement will begin immediately.
