*Senior Mitch Foss was named Horizon League Men's Golf "Athlete of the Week" for his performance at the Bradley Fall Invitational. Foss tied for third in the final individual standings with a 54-hole total of one-over-par 217 and helped lead the Bulldogs to a runner-up team finish. The Butler scoring leader carded rounds of 74, 70 and 73. Teammate Jonathan Novak, who was playing as a non-scoring individual, also tied for third with rounds of 72, 73 and 72.
*Senior Michael Mariscalco helped spark Butler to a 6-1 men's soccer victory over Detroit with a pair of goals and an assist. He scored the eventual game-winning goal less than seven minutes into the second half and then added a second goal 11 minutes later. Mariscalco also had an assist on Butler's first goal in the match. Earlier in the week, Mariscalco had Butler's lone goal in the Bulldogs' 1-1 tie at Cincinnati.
*Senior Melanie Macleod tied for fourth place among 80 women golfers at the Eastern Kentucky University Fall Invitational. Macleod was tied for sixth place after shooting an opening-round 75 and then moved up two spots on the final day with a one-over-par 73.
*Senior wide receiver Adam Lafferty caught six passes for 139 yards and one touchdown in Butler's football game against Austin Peay, and he moved into fourth place on Butler's all-time list for pass receiving yards. His effort boosted his career total for receiving yards to 1,839. The Butler senior is 94 yards shy of Tom Redmond, 1970-72, in third place on the all-time Butler list, and he's 337 yards away from Butler's all-time record.
*Senior Keely Norris led the Butler women's volleyball team to a five-game win over preseason Horizon League favorite Wright State. Norris posted 18 kills, with no errors, a season-high 17 digs and six blocks. Sophomore outside hitter Kali Carter had a career-high 21 kills and 12 digs in the match, while sophomore Kamy Peters led all players with 26 digs.
