Class of 1963: As football team captain, Don played football
"full steam all the way" - showing in the team's three-year 26-1
record. He was recipient of the Hilton Brown Award, was Butler's
third Little All-American, an All-Conference player and
Indianapolis News MVP. He is a member of the Delaware County Hall
of Fame and the Indiana Football Hall fo Fame. His 36-year tenure
in the Butler athletic department included 16 years as an assistant
football coach. He also served as golf coach and as an
associate athletic director.
