Matt Harris serves as the Manager of Fan Development and Tickets at Butler University. He's been on the Butler staff since June of 2004.
In his position with the Bulldogs, Harris assists with the development and implementation of season ticket plans and group sales to Butler athletic events. He handles all game day ticketing responsibilities, and he works closely with Butler's office of Sports Marketing and Promotions to strengthen community relations and outreach.
Harris, a 2002 Butler graduate, had worked in sales and marketing at WYFX/WRCY in Mt. Vernon for a year after his graduation. During his term, the station added both clients and advertising revenue. He also served as a production assistant at Pathway Productions in Indianapolis (May 2002-January 2003), and he gained experience as an intern at WSYW in Indianapolis (1999).
A telecommunications arts major at Butler, Harris received the Outstanding Service Award for Excellence in Radio Broadcasting as an undergraduate. He was a student manager for Butler's women's basketball team for two years, and he was the play-by-play announcer for Butler women's basketball on WRBU.
He completed his bachelor's degree in three and a half years. In 2011, Harris earned a master's degree in effective teaching and leadership from Butler. Harris and his wife, Jenny, have four sons, Cameron, Kaiden, Kyrie and Casey.
