Haverkamp joined the athletics staff at Butler in July 2012 following two years as a graduate assistant at Western Illinois University. At Butler, he will assist with gameday marketing and promotions and ticket sales.
During his time at WIU, Haverkamp served as the Event and Facilities Management Graduate Assistant for the Western Illinois Athletics Department. He served as the primary event management contact for numerous home contests, including 11 football games and nearly 60 basketball games. He was responsible for all matters pertaining to the visiting team, game officials and event management. He also helped Western Illinois create its Emergency Action Plans for all outdoor venues, including: a 16,000+ seat football facility, the host sites for the 2011 Summit League softball tournament and 2012 Summit League men’s soccer tournament and a 500-seat baseball stadium.
The Iowa City, Iowa native attended St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in sport management, radio/television and journalism in 2010. He earned his master's degree from Western Illinois in 2012.
Haverkamp is engaged to be married in January 2013 and lives in Meridian Hills.
