Butler continued a strong fall with impressive results from their entire roster at the University of Louisville Invitational over the weekend.

In singles play, Mason Dragos posted 3-2 record in the A flight, advancing all the way to the consolation final. Dragos defeated Chattanooga's Simon Bustamante, Xavier's Alejandro Vidal and teammate Michael Dickson before falling to Cleveland State's Matthew Terry in a third-set match tiebreaker.

Terry knocked off Spencer Lang in the back draw after Lang defeated Thibault DeNegri of Ball State in straight sets. Dickson won two matches, against Toledo's Luka Vitosevic and Wright State's Michal Kianicka before the match against Dragos.

Aviv Ben Shabat won his opening-round match, 6-3, 6-3, over Arthur Justo of Tennessee Tech before falling in three sets to Middle Tennessee's Nicolas Buitrago.

Adrian Mag, Ari Gerstein and Lope Adelakun represented Butler in the B flight. Adelakun won his opening-round match in three sets over Marc Mila of Tennessee Tech. He then fell to Wright State's Param Pun in straight sets. Mila would go on to win the consolation bracket.

Gerstein won three matches in the back draw, all in straight sets, before falling to Mila in the consolation championship match. Mag rolled over Xavier's Connor LaFavre and Eastern Kentucky's Nicolas Castaldo in straight sets before falling to Mila in the consolation semifinals.

Sam Sullivan won the back draw of the C flight, rattling off four wins after dropping his first match in the main draw. Sullivan lost only six games total in his first three matches before needing a third-set match tiebreaker to defeat Nikola Arsic of Toledo for the consolation championship.

In doubles play in the B flight, the teams of Ben Shabat and Gerstein and Lang and Sullivan each won their first two matches with wins over teams from BIG EAST foes from Xavier and DePaul. Both teams lost in the semifinals.

Freshman Addison Cazier teamed with Brandon Lew from Illinois State in the C flight of doubles. He also played C singles for Butler.

Butler was one of 14 teams that participated in the event.

The Bulldogs continue the fall season at the ITA Regionals this week. Matches begin Thursday on the University of Tennessee courts in Knoxville, Tenn.
