Butler made the trip to Murfreesboro, Tenn., for the ITA Ohio Valley Regional.

Seniors Bailey Padgett, Rachel Sutton and Jordan Minnick, along with freshman Emily Neal, represented the Bulldogs in both singles and doubles action.

After dropping her original singles match in the B flight, Minnick defeated Belmont's Sarah Beth Crowe, 6-3, 6-4.

Minnick and Padgett teamed together in doubles play. The duo beat Xavier's Lauren Fitz-Randolph and Manion, 8-7 (6) in the consolation matches. It was their second consecutive tiebreaker after falling 8-7 (1) to a team from Austin Peay in the main draw.

Fitz-Randolph, seeded fourth, needed three sets to defeat Neal (6-0, 5-7, 6-1) in B singles. It was one of two singles matches to go to three sets for the Bulldogs as Padgett lost to Wright State's Haily Morgan, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 1-0 (10-6).

Neal and Sutton also teamed up for doubles. The duo of Popiashvili/Natraj of Tennessee State defeated the Bulldogs team, 8-6, in the consolation round of the doubles B flight.

The Bulldogs return to action this weekend at the Illinois State Invitational. It is Butler's final action of the fall season.
