Butler sophomore midfielder
Lewis Suddick has been named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday, Oct. 30.
Â
Suddick played a role in three of Butler's four goals last week as the Bulldogs went 2-0 and clinched the BIG EAST regular season title. Suddick scored the game-winner at Seton Hall Wednesday night, which was his fifth goal of the season and his fourth game-winner. Suddick assisted on both of Butler's goals at Marquette Saturday night, serving up a free kick that
Joe Moulden headed in and finding
Brandon Guhl up the right side for the team's second goal 40 seconds later. He has seven assists this season, tied for tops in the BIG EAST.
Â
This is Suddick's second weekly offensive award of the season. He also received the accolades on Sept. 4. Suddick was a preseason All-BIG EAST first team selection.
Â
Keeper
Eric Dick allowed just one goal in the two wins last week, making 14 total saves. For his efforts, he earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. Â
Â
Butler, which clinched the BIG EAST regular season title Saturday night at Marquette with a 7-1 league mark, concludes the regular season Wednesday night, hosting Xavier at 7 p.m. at the Sellick Bowl. The match will be streamed live on the BIG EAST Digital Network, part of the FOX Sports Go app.
