Freshman guard
Cooper Neese has decided to leave the Butler men's basketball program. He informed the Butler coaching staff on Sunday, Oct. 8, and will begin the process of transferring to another university.
Â
"We wish Cooper all the best moving forward," said Butler coach LaVall Jordan. "He expressed to me that he didn't think Butler and our program were a fit for him, and he wanted to make this move before the season began.
Â
"I'm excited about the group of guys in our locker room and the season ahead. We will continue to work hard each and every day with the goal of reaching the potential our team has collectively."

The Bulldogs open the 2017-18 season on Oct. 28 with an exhibition, hosting Hanover. The regular season begins Nov. 10 as Kennesaw State visits Hinkle Fieldhouse.
