Julia Leonard also made the BIG EAST Weekly honor roll for their efforts. Monaghan scored the game-winner vs. St. John's and Leonard helped the Butler defense set a new single-season school record for shutouts with 12.
BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Amanda Carolan, Georgetown, R-So., F
Carolan tallied the most goals by a BIG EAST player since 2012 when the redshirt-sophomore totaled four scores Sunday at Villanova. The four goals are the most since fellow Hoya Daphne Corboz scored five times at Pittsburgh on Sept. 30, 2012. No. 12 Georgetown went 1-0-1 on the week to be all alone in first place with 13 points on the season, with Carolan totaling eight shots in the win over the Wildcats and draw with Creighton.
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Elizabeth Wenger, Georgetown, Sr., D
The Wenger-led Georgetown defense allowed just one shot on goal in a 1-0-1 week for the Hoyas. GU outshot its foes 51-6, including 20-1 in strikes on target, while also earning a 20-1 advantage in corner kicks. This is Wenger's second consecutive Player of the Week nod and third on the year.
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
McKenzie Meola, Creighton, So., GK
Meola led the Bluejays to their first points of the BIG EAST season last week with a pair of draws. The sophomore made a league-high 14 saves, highlighted by a nine-save outing at No. 12 Georgetown on Thursday afternoon. The Hoyas were limited to just one goal, despite averaging 3.2 scores per game over five BIG EAST contests.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week

Doege had a hand in two shutouts last week as the Bulldogs notched their program-record 12th clean sheet of the season. Doege totaled 110 minutes of scoreless action in a draw with Xavier on Thursday and a 1-0 win over St. John's on Sunday. The freshman was credited with a pair of saves against the Musketeers, playing the final 65 minutes of the contest, including both overtime frames.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Julia Leonard, Butler, Fr., D
Leonard helped the Bulldogs to a pair of shutouts last week to set a program record for single-season clean sheets with 12. RV Butler limited Xavier and St. John's to a combined three shots on net, outshooting both foes on the week.
Carrie Madden, Marquette, R-Jr., F
Madden scored both goals in Marquette's 2-0 win at DePaul on Thursday. She finished with four shots in the 1-1 week for the Golden Eagles.
Paige Monaghan, Butler, Jr., F
Monaghan scored the game-winning goal against St. John's on Sunday afternoon to lift Butler to victory. Her fifth goal of the season came in the closing seconds of the first half. Monaghan now leads the team in goals (5), assists (5), and points (15).
Julia Stirpe, Seton Hall, Jr., F
Stirpe provided the 87th-minute equalizer against Creighton on Sunday as the Pirates earned their third point of the season with a 1-1 double-overtime draw with the Bluejays.
Maddie Tierney, Xavier, Sr., M
Tierney played the full 220 minutes on the Xavier backline that allowed only one goal in two double overtime draws. Tierney also led multiple counter attacks for the Musketeers, collecting three shots in the games against Butler and DePaul.
