NEW CASTLE - The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in New Castle has unveiled the inductees for its 2018 women's class. 1983 Butler graduate Beth Piepenbrink made the Hall of Fame this year after an outstanding career.

Piepenbrink played both basketball and volleyball for Butler during her time on campus. She was the first Butler women's basketball player to exceed the 1,000 mark in both points and rebounds.

Piepenbrink was an Honorable Mention All-American as a senior in 1983. She ranks second all-time at Butler for most rebounds recorded in a single-season and was recognized as Co-Captain of Butler's first NCAA Tournament basketball team (1983).

The Class of 2018 will be honored April 28 at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame's Annual Women's Awards Banquet. The honorees represent the 17th women's induction class.
