Katherine Turner were both named 2016 All-Academic Individuals by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the 2016 cross country season. The USTFCCCA made the announcement Feb. 9.
Butler's cross country and track and field teams continue to strive academically under coach

In order to qualify for the honor, athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at regionals or as an All-American at the national meet.
Both Butler's men's and women's teams were recognized for their athletic and academic efforts. Butler men's team posted a team GPA of 3.42, while the women's held a 3.58 GPA.
Butler's track and field team will head to Illinois' Blue and Orange Open this weekend, the final tune-up prior to the 2017 BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championships.
