INDIANAPOLIS – Butler student-athletes excelled in the classroom over the 2016 Fall semester. As a department, the Bulldogs posted a 3.252 grade point average. 23 student-athletes posted a perfect 4.0 GPA, 48 made the Dean's List and 281 made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (3.25 GPA or higher).
The highest team GPA during the fall semester belonged to the women's golf program who posted a 3.795 GPA. The second highest would go to the women's cross country team with a 3.567 GPA and rounding out the top three would be women's soccer with a 3.411 GPA.
On the men's side, cross country led the way with a 3.390 GPA. Men's soccer ranked second with a 3.255 GPA and the men's track team came in at third with a 3.182 GPA, edging men's tennis at 3.181.
