Butler finished eighth with a team score of 895 after the third and final round of The Invitational at Savannah Harbor hosted by William and Mary. The team competed against 13 teams over Monday and Tuesday at the par-72 Club at Savannah Harbor.

The Bulldogs opened the first 18 holes with a team score of 309, and improved over the following rounds, shooting 295 Monday afternoon and concluding the last round with 291. The Bulldogs made the second-best improvement from the first round to second round to finish Monday in tenth. Â

Joey Arcuri led the team with a three-over 219 score to tie for 14
th. The senior shot 73-75 for a four-over mark of 148 the first two rounds. He finished the third round with a one-under loop of 71.

He was followed by teammate Pat Allgeier at 225, whose score improved from 79 to 74 over the first two rounds to 72 during the last day. Tied with Allgeier at 36
th with a 225 score was
Zack Carrabine.

Michael Denner posted a solid second round with a team-low 71 on Monday, finishing at 13-over 229 for the tournament.
Gehrig Hollatz carded an eagle on the fourth hole in the final round and finished with a three-round score of 230.

Hunter Byram competed as an individual, scoring 79 over the first two rounds and 72 during the last day to total 230 (+14).

William and Mary captured the tournament title with a team score 852 while Austin Morrison shot a six-under 210 to win the individual title.

The Bulldogs will compete in the Benbow Invitational March 6-7 in Jacksonville, Fla.
