Lee Dicklitch has joined the Butler Athletics staff in the role of Assistant Director of Internal Operations. Dicklitch began his duties Feb. 15.
In this role, Dicklitch will provide operational assistance for select Butler teams, including baseball, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, as well as the men's and women's cross country/track and field programs.
Dicklitch has served in a variety of roles within the collegiate and professional sports industry over a 16-year career. He is currently working as a contactor to support the planning for the NCAA Men's Basketball Championships and serves as the Vice President of Collegiate Sports for Snodgrass Partners.
Previous experience in collegiate athletics includes six years at the NCAA, where he served as Associate Director of Championships and Alliances – Branding and Fan Experience, as well as a role as part of the Men's Basketball Championship Staff. Dicklitch coordinated management support of championship presentation, branding and ancillary event planning for 89 NCAA Championships. In his role with the men's basketball staff, Dicklitch oversaw all of areas of the in-venue game presentation, including marketing and sponsor activations for all rounds of the championship. He also served as a liaison to NCAA institutions, conferences and local organizing committees.
He began his career by serving as an event manager the University of Wisconsin-Madison athletics department for six years. Prior to this, Dicklitch earned a marketing degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse College of Business and was a four-year member of the men's basketball team. He also holds Masters degrees from both Butler University (MBA – Leadership Concentration) and Ohio University (Masters in Recreation and Sports Sciences).
Butler University, located in Indianapolis, Ind., participates in intercollegiate athletics at the NCAA Division I level. Nineteen of Butler's 20 teams compete in the BIG EAST, while the football program is a member of the Pioneer Football League.
