On the heels of the 2017 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the list of All-Americans from the meet on Monday, March 13.

Erik Peterson picked up two honors, earning first-team accolades for his sixth-place finish in the 5,000 meters and second-team recognition by finishing 13
th in the 3,000 meters. With the outdoor season upcoming, Peterson already has five career All-American awards.

Olivia Pratt now has three career All-American honors after being named a second-team All-American for her performance over the weekend in the 3,000 meters.
In terms of NCAA place, Peterson and Pratt form the top returning 10,000 meters male/female duo in the NCAA entering the outdoor season.
Peterson's sixth-place finish was Butler's best all-time at the Indoor Championships, matching the finish by Scott Overall in the mile in 2007. He swept the 3,000 and 5,000 at the 2017 BIG EAST Indoor Championships, earning Outstanding Championship Performer. Peterson, scoring alone, led Butler to its best team finish in NCAA Indoor history (49

Butler opens the outdoor season Saturday, hosting the Stan Lyons Invitational in Indianapolis.
