Butler and IUPUI are halfway through the Butler Spring Invitational, being played Monday and Tuesday at Prestwick Country Club in Avon, Ind. 

Entering the final 18 holes, IUPUI holds a slim five-stroke advantage (302 to 307). 

Patrick Allgeier shot a 75 on Monday, pacing the Bulldogs and just one shot off the lead of IUPUI's Austin Crowder.

Gehrig Hollatz and Ricky Kuiper each shot an opening-round 77 for the Bulldogs. 

Second round action is scheduled to tee off at 10:30 a.m.
