Distance runner Euan Makepeace's performance at the Raleigh Relays last weekend garnered BIG EAST attention as Men's Track Athlete of the Week, the first of the 2017 outdoor season.
 
The sophomore ran 14:05.25 in the 5,000-meter run, taking third in his section of the Raleigh Relays and finished 12^th overall.
 
Makepeace's outdoor debut of the 2017 season leads the BIG EAST. It is also the fourth-best time in the East and fifth nationally.
