Distance runners
Olivia Pratt and
Erik Peterson are scheduled to race in the 10,000 meters Friday night at the prestigious Stanford Invite. The women's event is set for 1:05 a.m. (ET), 10:05 (PT). The men will run at 1:43 a.m. (ET), 10:43 (PT). The 10,000 meters will be run in two heats. Friday marks Pratt's and Peterson's final outdoor season debut for Butler. Earlier in the day,
Euan Makepeace, fresh off his BIG EAST Weekly honors, will run in the 1,500 meters.

Peterson wrapped up indoor season with a sixth-place finish in the 5,000 meters and 13
th in the 3,000 meters at the 2017 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships earlier this March. At the same event, Pratt ran to tenth-place in the 5,000 meters. The distance pair combine for eight career All-Americans. Â

Butler will also send a team of 20 men and 19 women to compete in the Oliver Nickoloff Invite at the University of Cincinnati on Friday and Saturday. The Bulldogs will face 14 other schools.
