Butler opened up its Spring Break trip with a 6-1 win over Mount Saint Mary's Sunday afternoon in Orlando, Fla. The match was played at the Sanlando Park facility. The Bulldogs are now 8-3 on the season.
Coach Parker Ross was able to showcase the depth of his line-up as
Mikheil Khmiadashvili and
Aviv Ben Shabat were part of doubles wins, but the regular top two players in Butler's singles order sat out singles matches.
Mason Dragos,
Spencer Lang,
Adrian Mag,
Ari Gerstein, and Lope Adelakun all picked up straight-set wins on courts 1-5 to seal the match after Butler opened by taking the doubles point.
The Bulldogs have two matches remaining in Orlando, playing Furman on Tuesday before matching up with BIG EAST foe Creighton on Wednesday.
