JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Bulldogs won the
Don Benbow Invitational today by shooting a 297, just 13 shots over par. The top three teams rounded out with IUPUI (+20) and Albany State (+26).
Jackson Juerling would shoot the lowest score over the two-day invitational (+1), but the Bulldogs would have golfers finish in second, third and tied for fourth.
Patrick Allgeier was the top performer for BU shooting a 75 on day one and 73 on day two for a grand total of 148 (+6).
Michael Denner was one shot over that total with a 149 after shooting a 72 on day one and 77 on day two.
Joey Arcuri turned in his scorecard after shooting a 151. He shot 74 on day one and followed up with a 77 on Tuesday.
Hunter Byram also finished in the top ten for Butler. He was consistent with a 76 on each day to end the invite at 10 over.
Ricky Kuiper and
Gehrig Hollatz were also in action for the Bulldogs. Kuiper shot 76 on Monday and 77 on Tuesday to post a 153 (+11). Hollatz improved mightily on day two with a 75. He shot 83 on Monday to end the event 16 over par.
