Box Score
INDIANAPOLIS – Back-to-back St. John home runs in the top of the eighth inning would give the Red Storm a 5-3 come from behind victory over Butler on Friday evening. The game went under a one hour and forty-minute lightning and rain delay, with action stopping at 5:20 and picking back up at 7:00 PM.

Each starter was knocked out of the contest after the stoppage.
Ryan Pepiot tossed 4.2 innings of action before the weather took a turn. He struck out three and limited the Red Storm to just one earned run off three hits.

Kevin Napoleon took the mound after the delay and would toss 1.1 innings. The loss would fall to
Garrett Christman who was hit with four earned runs off three hits.

Trouble started for Christman in the eighth after he walked the lead-off man Jamie Galazin. Michael Donadio would smash a two-run home run over the right field wall to tie the game and a follow up shot from Jesse Berardi would give STJ the 4-3 lead. Scoring would come to a close off a Josh Shaw RBI single to left.

St. John's first run of the game was also a home run. Troy Dixon recorded a solo shot to start the fourth inning and trim the Bulldog lead to 3-1.

Butler got on the board in the bottom of the second thanks to
Michael Hartnagel leading off with a double down the left field line. A ground out would move him to third and a fielder's choice from
Jordan Lucio would send him to the plate.

Two more Bulldogs runs would be recorded in the third.
Tyler Houston picked up an RBI with a base hit to right and a sac fly from Hartnagel would add to his season RBI total.

These two teams will return to Bulldog Park tomorrow for a 1 PM first pitch.
