INDIANAPOLIS – The nationally-ranked Florida Gators posted a 22-2 win over Butler at Varsity Field on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs scored one goal in each half with Ashley Lizzi and Zoe Law each finding the back of the net.
 
Florida jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the opening stages of the contest. Brianna Harris and Shayna Pirreca each scored two goals to lead the early charge. Lizzi broke up the scoring streak with an unassisted goal at the 25:39 mark. The rest of the half would belong to the visitors with Florida taking a 16-1 lead into the half.
 
Scoring would slow down in the second half with the running clock. Florida won the final 30 minutes of action 6-1. They scored the first six goals, but Law would deliver Butler's second goal of the game with just over two minutes to play. It was Law's first goal of her career.
 
Only two games remain during the 2017 regular season. Butler will play at Marquette on April 22 and end the season at home vs. Villanova on April 29.
