On Moving Day at the 2017 BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship, the Bulldogs did just that Saturday in Callawassie Island, S.C. Butler climbed into second place behind a team score of 298, the best performance of the day in the six-team competition.

Lauren Tibbets was the only player in red figures Saturday, carding a one-under 71. She now stands at four-over (148) for the tournament, which is tied for third. She climbed seven positions Saturday after her opening-round 77. Tibbets had four birdies on the round.

Tibbets is one shot out of second and trails leader Cassie Pantelas of Seton Hall by three strokes. Pantelas is one-over for the event (145).

Butler's 298 was 11 shots better than the team's score on Friday and the best of the day by five strokes over tournament-leading Georgetown. The Bulldogs leapfrogged St. John's on Saturday as the Red Storm shot 307 as their six-shot lead over Butler entering the round quickly evaporated.

Abigail Gleixner also played a strong round Saturday, signing a scorecard for 73 (+1). She is alone in fifth in the championship with a five-over total of 149 through 36 holes. Betsy Werner followed up her 75 from Friday with a 78 Saturday. She is at +9 for the tournament, in ninth place.

Kelsey McDougall and Rachel Gathof each shot a 77 Saturday, moving up to T-18 and 20th positions, respectively. McDougall is +14 through 36 holes, while Gathof is +16. All five of Butler's players are in the Top 20 of the 30-player event. Butler's team performance was so strong on Saturday that Werner's 78 didn't count toward the team score, yet she is still in the Top 10 individually.

The Bulldogs (607, +31) will enter Sunday's final 18 trailing Georgetown (599, +23) by eight shots and leading St. John's (610, +34) by three strokes. Seton Hall (+50), Xavier (+56) and Creighton (+74) round out the tournament field.
