In their final home match of the season, Butler recognized the team's four seniors in a pregame ceremony. The Saturday contest served as the final match in Indianapolis for Jocelyn Koester, Kailey Eaton, Kylie Haviland, and Grace Hyde.

Xavier would eventually take the match, 7-0. Xavier is now 10-10 on the season and 4-1 in BIG EAST matches.

The Bulldogs are 4-17 on the spring season. Saturday's match is the final regular season contest for Butler.

Butler will learn its BIG EAST Tournament opponent on Monday. The 2017 championships begin Thursday in Cayce, S.C.
