INDIANAPOLIS – The Butler Bulldogs will wrap up their inaugural lacrosse season this Saturday at Victory Field. Butler will host Villanova at 12 PM.

About Butler
The Bulldogs are 1-15 on the year with their lone win coming at Gardner-Webb on March 8. The team is 0-7 at home and 0-8 against conference opponents. Butler's top offensive threat is midfielder
Haley Hallenbeck. The redshirt sophomore has a team-high 24 goals on the season to go along with four assists to give her 28 points.
The team leader in points is
Journey Fischbeck. Fischbeck has 18 goals and a team-high 12 assists on the year. Yet another high-impact player for BU is
Ashley Lizzi. The talented freshman has 11 goals and eight assists for 19 points.
Draw controls have been split three ways with Hallenbeck, Lizzi and
Christina Soderquist doing work. Hallenbeck and Soderquist are tied for the team lead with 34 draw controls each. Lizzi is close behind with 31. Hallenbeck also leads the team with 26 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.
Scouting Villanova
The Wildcats have three wins on the year to go along with 12 losses. Victories came against Saint Joseph's (11-10), Lafayette (13-11), and Cincinnati (16-10). Losers of six-straight, Villanova will end the year at Butler in search of their second conference win.
Villanova averages 10 goals per game. Their top option offensively is Katie Comerford. A starter in all 15 games, Comerford has 37 goals and 13 assists for a team-high 50 points. Jillian Swikart and Kim McDonough are also goal scorers on this Wildcat roster. Swikart has 25 goals heading into the weekend and McDonough has 24.
The Wildcat goalkeeper on Saturday will be Julia Michaels. Michaels has started in all 15 games and has logged over 670 minutes. She allowed 15.19 goals per game, but has 108 saves with a 3-10 record.
Senior Day
The Butler lacrosse team will recognize
Emily Annand and
Kathleen Cihota on Saturday as part of Senior Day activities. Annand has six points this year with three goals and three assists to her credit. Cihota has played in seven games for the Bulldogs. She has recorded one ground ball from her defensive position.
