The match with Creighton is set for 9 a.m. on Thursday (April 27) in Cayce, S.C., which will host both the women's and men's championships this weekend. Â

The winner of the Butler-Creighton match will advance to a Friday quarterfinal against the tournament's top seed, St. John's. The loser of the first round match will move to the consolation bracket on Friday. The semifinals are set for Saturday with the championship match scheduled for Sunday.

The winner of the BIG EAST Tournament receives the conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
