Jenna Foreman batted .846 last week, leading the Bulldogs to a perfect 4-0 week. For her work, the Butler outfielder earned BIG EAST Player of the Week honors. The conference announced the award Monday (April 3).

The sophomore had 11 hits in 13 at-bats, including going 9-for-10 against Villanova in a three-game weekend BIG EAST series. Foreman scored five runs and knocked in another. She was a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts. Foreman also had three outfield assists in the team's four games. She finished the week with seven consecutive base hits.

On the season, Foreman leads Butler in batting (.418), hits (38), runs (24), on-base percentage (.448), and stolen bases (18). She ranks in the Top 5 in the BIG EAST in each of those categories expect for on-base percentage (tenth).

Mikeila Boroff, who went 3-0 in the circle last weekend, was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

Foreman is the third Bulldog to receive BIG EAST weekly honors, joining junior
Sarah Dixon (Player of the Week, Feb. 13) and freshman
Gabbi Schnaiter (Pitcher of the Week, March 13).

The Bulldogs (16-17 overall and 4-1 to start the BIG EAST season) return to action Wednesday, hosting Indiana State in a single game that begins at 5 p.m. Butler then returns to BIG EAST play over the weekend, traveling to Providence. The Bulldogs have won five straight games.
