SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall Pirates evened the weekend series on Saturday afternoon with a 7-1 victory over Butler on Owen T. Carroll Field. The getaway game will get underway at 12 PM tomorrow.
 
Tyler Houston put BU on the scoreboard with a solo shot over the wall in the top of the third inning. Houston went 1-for-4 on the day in the lead-off spot. Michael Hartnagel and Gehrig Parker tied for the team lead with two hits each.
 
SHU scored their runs off 10 hits. They opened up the game with one run in the first and followed that with three runs in the third after the Houston bomb. The scoring rounded out with a run in the fifth and two more in the eighth.
 
Cullen Dana (2-3) earned the win on the mound for the Pirates while Ryan Pepiot took the loss (3-1).
