INDIANAPOLIS – Heavy rain and lightning in the Indianapolis area forced the final game of the regular season between Butler and Creighton to be canceled on Saturday, May 20. The Butler baseball team posted a 31-20 record in 2017, notching 17 more wins than the previous season.
The Bulldogs missed postseason play by finishing fifth in the BIG EAST standings, but were able to post a winning record at the end of the year for the first time since 2003. First-year head coach
Dave Schrage and his staff led BU to 31 total wins, which ties the fourth-highest total in school history.
