The Indianapolis Olympians were formed by five players who had been on the 1948 and 1949 Kentucky championship teams as well as the '48 Olympic gold team. Two players were accused of point shaving while at UK and banned from the NBA for life. Two BU players, Bob Evans and Ralph "Buckshot" O'Brien – who were not involved in the scandal – played for the Olympians. The team folded in 1952. Two other professional teams, the Indianapolis Jets and the Indianapolis Kautskys, also played their home games at the fieldhouse in the 1930s.Â
