In Butler's first action of the 2017-18 campaign, the Bulldogs are in second place after 36 holes at the Loyola Fall Invitational. Entering the final round of play, Butler trails the host Ramblers by eight strokes.

Kelsey McDougall leads the Bulldogs with a two-round total of 155 (+11) after rounds of 76 and 79 at the 6,112-yard Flossmoor Country Club (par 72). Her opening round 76 had her individually in a tie for second. She is now fifth overall.

Lauren Tibbets, the reigning BIG EAST champion, paced Butler in the second round Monday with a round of 77. Her two-round total of 13-over 157 is tied for seventh.
Betsy Werner (76-83—159; +15),
Abigail Gleixner (82-78—160; +16) and
Rachel Gathof (81-84—165; +21) round out the Butler scoring five. Werner and Gleixner are in 12
th and a tie for 13
th, respectively.

Butler shot a team score of 313 in the opening round, trailing Loyola by six strokes after the first 18. The Bulldogs shot 317 in the second round Monday, two shots back of Loyola. Butler has a seven-stroke lead over third-place Montana entering the final round. There are 11 teams in the field.

Ally Ross is the top performer individual in the field, currently tied for 20
th at 162 after rounds of 80 and 82.

Aneta Abrahamova of IUPUI has the individual lead at six-over 150. She is one shot better than Loyola's Elayna Bowser.

Play concludes Tuesday with a 9 a.m. (Central) shotgun start. After playing 36 holes on Monday, there are 18 holes scheduled for Tuesday.
