Butler won the Northern Kentucky University Fall Classic as play concluded Monday afternoon.  Butler led the event after each of the three rounds over the past two days. 

Butler finished the 54-hole event with a team score of 868 (+16). The Bulldogs entered the final round with a 14-shot lead over Cal Poly, but it was a hard-charging Oakland team that the Bulldogs had to hold off. Oakland shot 281 on Monday, which was 13 shots better than any other team in the field. Butler's Monday round of 296 was enough to post a four-shot victory as Oakland registered 872 (+20) for the event.

Cal Poly was third (883; +31), followed by host Northern Kentucky (889; +37) and BIG EAST foe DePaul (890; +38). The event featured a 15-team field.

The Bulldogs were led by sophomore Patrick Allgeier. Allgeier shot a three-round score of 213 (E), which tied for second individually. He finished just one stroke behind Morehead State's Nick Wilkins. Allgeier led the event after 36 holes and shot a two-over 73 on Monday on the par-71, 6,845-yard Elks Run Golf Club course in Batavia, Ohio.

Michael Cascino finished sixth with a final score of 217 (+4) after rounds of 72-73-72.

Logan Sabins and Ricky Kuiper tied for ninth with a score of 219 (+6). Freshman Augie Hartnagel, playing as an individual, finished 42^nd with a score of 229 (+16). 

Junior Gehrig Hollatz finished in a tie for 68^th at 239 (+26; 84-77-78). 

Allgeier had 15 birdies in the event, which tied Oakland's Thomas Giroux for top honors. Sabins and Cascino were part of a group that tied for third in the statistic, each recording 10 of their own.

The team returns to action next week, hosting the two-day Butler Fall Invitational at Highland Golf Club beginning on Oct. 2.
