Head coach Tayo Bailey announced the 2018 spring schedule Monday, Sept. 25. The Bulldogs will begin their season on Saturday, Jan. 13 with an in-state matchup at Purdue beginning at 3 p.m..
The Bulldogs will face six in-state opponents this season including Indiana, Valparaiso, IUPUI, DePauw (date to be confirmed), and Southern Indiana. Midseason, the Bulldogs will travel to Orlando, Fla., to compete against Georgia Southern and the Southern Mississippi.
Butler's BIG EAST conference play will begin on the road, with the Bulldogs traveling to Xavier Feb. 10 and Providence Feb. 17. The Bulldogs will face six BIG EAST opponents during the spring season including Villanova, Marquette, DePaul, and Seton Hall.
The Bulldogs will close their 24-match season with the BIG EAST Tournament which will take place April 26-29 in Cayce, S.C.
An additional match might be added to the spring schedule at a later date.
With only three competitions left this fall, the Bulldogs look to finish out their season with the Butler Pro-Am, ITA Regionals, and the Illinois State Invitational.
