Butler grad Olivia Pratt will represent the United States Saturday at the 2018 Simplyhealth Great Edinburgh XCountry meet. The meet, taking place at Hollyrood Park, features the top runners from the United States, Great Britain, and Europe.

Pratt, a 2017 Butler graduate and standout cross country runner, earned her spot on Team USA by placing third at the US Club Cross Country Championships in Lexington last month to help her professional group Hansons/Brooks to the team title. 

The meet will consist of four races; the junior men's 6km, the junior women's 4km, senior men's 8km and senior women's 6km. The overall winning team will be determined by the best aggregate finishing positions of the six best placed athletes in the senior category, as well as the four best placed athletes in the junior races.

At last year's event, the U.S. took top honors for the second time in three years with 149 points, beating out Team Europe (152 points) and Team Great Britain (208 points) for the title.
