Jordan Tucker, a consensus Top 100 player nationally in his high school class, has signed a financial aid agreement and has transferred to Butler from Duke University.

Once the 6-7 forward sits one year to fulfill NCAA transfer requirements, he will have sophomore standing on the 2018-19 roster and be eligible to compete in games for Butler once the Fall, 2018 semester concludes.

"Jordan is an extremely talented young man and will be a strong addition to both our roster and our locker room," said Butler coach LaVall Jordan. "I have enjoyed getting to know him and his family better over the past few weeks. He is excited about immersing himself in The Butler Way, and we're excited he's a Butler Bulldog."

Tucker played in two regular season games for Duke this season before deciding to transfer after the first semester concluded.

ESPN ranked Tucker No. 40 overall in its class of 2017, while Rivals ranked him No. 68 overall and Scout pegged him at No. 78.

Tucker was selected for the 2017 Jordan Brand Classic Regional Game and was chosen to compete in the American Family Insurance 3-Point Championship at the 2017 Final Four in Phoenix.

Jordan helped lead his Wheeler High School to a 22-6 record and a No. 8 ranking in the state of Georgia as a senior in 2017. He transferred to Wheeler from Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, N.Y.) prior to his senior year of high school. Tucker averaged 17.8 points and 9.6 rebounds per game as a junior in 2016 for Archbishop Stepinac, earning Class AA all-state honors from the NYSSWA.

He also participated in the 2015 NBPA Top 100 Camp.

Butler returns to action Saturday, traveling to DePaul for a 2 p.m. (Eastern, 1 p.m. Central/Chicago) tip that will air nationally on FS1.
