Logan Sabins is tied for first at seven-under. Play concludes with 18 holes Sunday.
Sabins went 69-68 in the two rounds Saturday at The Club at Savannah Harbor. He navigated the par-72, 7,116-yard course with five birdies against two bogeys in the first round. Sabins was four-under on the back nine. In round 2, Sabins turned in a clean card with four birdies.
Butler is tied for sixth in the 16-team field. The Bulldogs shot a team score of 295 (+7) in the opening round and followed that with a 292 (+4) in the second round. Butler and Bethune-Cookman are tied at 11-over 587.
Michael Cascino (76-75) and
Ricky Kuiper (74-77) are tied for 47
th at 151 (+7).
Patrick Allgeier (76-76) and
Augie Hartnagel (79-73) are at eight-over 152 through 36 holes, tied for 54
th individually.
Host William & Mary leads the event (563, -13) and is three shots ahead of South Carolina Beaufort. Sabins is tied with Newport Laparojkit of South Carolina Beaufort and North Dakota State's Van Holmgren at 137.
