Michael Dickson at No. 4 singles. The team match was tied 3-3 with Dickson and Dayton's Theo Jener the last court remaining. Dickson pulled out the three-set victory, 7-6, 3-6, 6-2.

Setting up the final court, Dayton had won the doubles point and the No. 2 singles match. Butler then responded with a 7-5, 6-3 win by
Adrian Mag at No. 5 singles and a three-set victory by
Spencer Lang at No. 3 singles to tie the match 2-2.

Ari Gerstein's 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles gave Butler a brief 3-2 win before Dayton won at No. 1 singles to level the match, leading to Dickson's heroics.

The Bulldogs return to action Thursday, hosting the University of Indianapolis at the Butler Tennis Bubble. That is the first of three consecutive home matches over the course of three days.
