Butler won its third straight match and ran its 2018 record to 4-2 with a win over Youngstown State Friday afternoon at the Butler Tennis Bubble in Indianapolis.
The Bulldogs took all the matches in the 7-0 decision.
At No. 1 singles,
Mason Dragos pulled out a three-set win over YSU's Joao Garretto, 6-4, 3-6, 7-5. Earlier in the day, he teamed with
Aviv Ben Shabat for a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles.
Ben Shabat also won his singles match, taking the No. 2 court in a third-set match tiebreaker against Vasilis Vardakis.
Spencer Lang,
Michael Dickson,
Adrian Mag and
Ari Gerstein each won in straight sets at the No. 3 through No. 6 singles spots, respectively. Dickson and Lang also won at No. 2 doubles, clinching the doubles point for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday, concluding a three-match homestand with a 2 p.m. match against Valparaiso.
