Butler's Patrick Allgeier is in third place after the opening round of the Bulldog Florida Invitational, which is being played at Windsor Parke Golf Club in Jacksonville, Fla.

Allgeier shot 76 Wednesday and is three shots off the pace of leader Tyler Hanson (Albany State) heading into Thursday's final 18 holes.

Fairfield leads the team competition with a first-round total of 314. That is three shots better than IUPUI and 10 shots in front of Butler and Albany State, which are tied for third at 324. Chicago State is in fifth place.

Logan Sabins shot 80 on Wednesday and is tied for ninth. He is followed in the Butler line-up by Michael Cascino (82, T-15^th), Augie Hartnagel (86, T-24^th), and Michael Denner (93, 34^th).

Ricky Kuiper shot an 85 playing as an individual and is tied for 19^th.

Play concludes in Jacksonville with 18 holes on Thursday.
