The Bulldogs split a pair of matches on their first day of competition as part of their annual Spring Break trip. The matches were played in the Orlando, Fla., area.
In the nightcap, the Bulldogs blanked the University of Texas at Tyler, 7-0. Butler picked up six straight-set singles wins. Butler also swept the doubles point.
Earlier in the day, Butler dropped a 6-1 decision to Georgia Southern.
Emily Neal picked up a three-set win at the No. 3 spot over Lindsay Truscott.
Butler is now 7-12 on the season.
The Bulldogs conclude play in Florida Wednesday with a 3 p.m. match against Southern Mississippi.
