Butler placed third in the Bulldog Florida Invitational, with the 36-hole event concluding Thursday afternoon.

The Bulldogs had an 18-shot improvement over Wednesday's opening round, shooting 306 in the final round. IUPUI won the event.

Patrick Allgeier finished third individually with two rounds of 76. His score of 152 was 10 shots shy of winner Tyler Hanson of Albany State.

Logan Sabins shot 73 Thursday to finish at 153 and tied for fourth. Michael Cascino tied for ninth after rounds of 82 and 75 for a total of 157.

Augie Hartnagel (86-83—169) and Michael Denner (93-82—175) rounded out the Butler scoring five in 27^th and 29^th place, respectively.

Ricky Kuiper, playing as an individual, tied for 21^st at 167.

???????IUPUI won the event with a 36-hole team total of 616. That was 12 shots better than Fairfield. Butler (630) finished in third, followed by Albany State (631) and Chicago State (672).

Butler has completed its two events in Florida as part of its annual Spring Break trip. The Bulldogs return to competition March 31 at the Illinois State Invitational.
