Butler placed 16
th at the Illinois State-hosted D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate, which finished Sunday afternoon.
Logan Sabins led the Bulldogs with a T-28
th finish. Over the three rounds, he shot 76, 75, and 76 for a 54-hole score of 227 (+14).
Patrick Allgeier was the second Bulldog, finishing in a tie for 47
th. He shot an 18-over 231.
Michael Cascino and
Michael Denner each shot 238 (+25) for the event.
Augie Hartnagel (244, +31) finished in a tie for 85
th.
In cold and windy conditions that included snow during Sunday's round, Duke won the event with a team total of 871 (+19). Wisconsin (886) and host Illinois State (895) finished second and third, respectively.
After rounds of 322 and 307 Saturday, the Bulldogs shot 301 over the final 18. The 54-hole score of 930 (+78) was 16
th in the team competition.
Duke's Chandler Eaton and Adam Wood, along with Wisconsin's Griffin Barela, tied for the top individual spot at four-over 217.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to host an individual event (both men and women) Monday at Highland Golf and Country Club.
