Omaha, Neb. -- Due to forecasts that call for at least 1-3 inches of snow on Friday, temperatures near freezing on Saturday and more snow on Sunday, Creighton and Butler mutually agreed to cancel their BIG EAST opening series this weekend.

Prior to canceling the series, attempts were made to move the series to a neutral site or to Indianapolis. Unfortunately neither was possible. The games will not be made up.
