Scouting Fort Wayne
South Dakota State swept Fort Wayne in a three-game series over the weekend moving the Mastodons to 6-20 on the year. Fort Wayne will host Butler at Mastodon Field where the team holds a 2-5 record on their home diamond. RHP Trevor Armstrong will take the hill against Butler's
Joe Graziano. Armstrong will be making his first start of the year for Fort Wayne on Tuesday. The 6-0 freshman is 0-2 over nine appearances out of the pen. He holds an 8.76 ERA with five strikeouts over 12.1 innings of action. Graziano still has not allowed a run during his rookie season over seven appearances. In order to slow down the Mastodons, Graziano and the Bulldogs will need to avoid Shannon Baker and Travis Upp. Baker is batting .373 this year with a team-high 28 hits. He and Upp share the team lead with 13 RBI.
