Michael Dickson and
Mason Dragos earned All-BIG EAST conference honors following the 2018 season. Dickson was named Rookie of the Year and to the All-BIG EAST Second Team. Dragos was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team. Marquette's Alvaro Verdu and St. John's Alan Nunez Aguilera share BIG EAST Men's Tennis Player of the Year honors.
The major awards and All-BIG EAST team were voted on by the eight head coaches who could not cast ballots for themselves or their own student-athletes. The BIG EAST announced the team Monday May 7.
Playing one through four over the course of the season, Dickson combined for 29 wins (15 singles, 14 doubles) during his freshman campaign. The rookie clinched a pair of 4-3 matches for the Bulldogs over Dayton and Ball State, battling through three sets in both matches.
Dragos finished an impressive junior season with an 8-6 record at No. 1 singles and a 10-10 overall record. In the No. 1 doubles spot, Dragos and partner
Aviv Ben Shabat notched 12 wins and had only four losses on their record. This is the third straight year Dragos has been named to the All-BIG EAST team, including Rookie of the Year honors in 2016.
