With the regular season complete, the BIG EAST announced its annual award winners and All-BIG EAST Teams on Thursday (May 10). Senior Alyssa Lach earned first team honors while junior Jenna Foreman earned second team honors.

Each All-BIG EAST Team consists of 12 players: two pitchers, one catcher, first baseman, second baseman, short stop, third baseman, utility/pitcher, designated player/non-pitcher and three outfielders. The eight conference coaches selected the All-BIG EAST teams; coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.

Lach ended her senior season batting .303 which jumps to .386 in BIG EAST play. She started all 48 games for the Bulldogs and knocked five doubles and three home runs, including a solo home run in the last at bat of her career. Her eight extra base hits gave her a slugging percentage of .400 and she finished the year with 23 RBI. The senior also scored 25 runs.

Lach struck out only three times in 57 at bats during BIG EAST play, making her one of the toughest outs in the conference. Her slugging percentage also increases to .509 in conference play. The third basemen's .486 on base percentage in BIG EAST games led the team and is good for sixth in the BIG EAST. This is Lach's second All-BIG EAST honor, earning second team honors in 2015.

Foreman earned her spot on the All-BIG EAST second team for the second straight year after leading the Bulldogs in batting average (.371), hits (63) stolen bases (35), and runs (31). Her 35 stolen bases on 38 attempts are a new Butler school record and led the BIG EAST. The junior's 63 hits also set a new Butler record and rank third in the BIG EAST, while her .371 batting average is good for sixth.
