Thirteen Bulldogs Named Academic All-Horizon League
INDIANAPOLIS – Thirteen Butler student-athletes were named Academic All-Horizon League for spring sports, the conference office announced today. The list comes just days after the league announced that a conference-high 116 Bulldogs made the spring academic honor roll list.
Coach Matt Roe’s men’s track team led Butler with five academic honorees: Kris Gauson, Stephen Lisgo, Joe MacDonald, Justin Roeder and Matt Lawder. Two Bulldogs each from the softball and women’s golf programs were also honored.
BU’s baseball, men’s golf, women’s track, men’s tennis and women’s tennis team each had one student-athlete named academic all-league.
Butler’s total of 13 academic all-league honorees tied for second in the league with Loyola. Youngstown State led all schools with 15.
