After another record-setting sales season, Butler University Athletics' marketing department has been honored by the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administators (NACMA). Butler was honored for season ticket sales, a single-game promotion and a t-shirt design.
BU was honored for its season ticket campaign "Make Hinkle Your Second Home." Many fans took the advice, with Butler averaging more than 7,000 fans at home during the regular season.
Butler's promotion Community Day was recognized as well. The promotion, which took place against Detroit the weekend of the Super Bowl, involved a game of Knockout and special ticket prices.
The promotional t-shirt Bulldogs Always Make The Highlights was the third award winner. Butler students wore bright shirts for the Bulldogs' ESPN2 game vs. Xavier in December.
The NACMA award winners will be publicly recognized Tuesday, June 26 during NACMA's annual convention. The presentation will be held at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas.
